You may be asking... "WHAT EXACTLY IS THE FRIENDS OF THE CASCADE PUBLIC LIBRARY"??
Friends of the Cascade Public Library is a volunteer organization that supports the Cascade Iowa Public Library. The group is dedicated to supporting and promoting the Cascade library through programs, advocacy and financial support helping to cultivate a love of learning and celebrate the joy of reading. There are currently 65 "friends" as of the end of 2023!
OUR PURPOSE
Friends of the Cascade Public Library aims to help fund programs for adults and children and provide volunteer services through our time and talents.
HOW CAN YOU BE INVOLVED
You can join by emailing us at friendsofthecascadelibrary@gmail.com or find a membership form at the library!!
There are opportunities to help with library programming, assist with marketing and social media, help with public events, help update the story on the river walk OR join us and help with Friends fundraising events!!!
HOW DO THE FRIENDS OPERATE
The Friends Board is elected from the membership. The annual meeting is held each January. Other meetings are planned quarterly. Communication will be through e-mails to the membership and finding updates on the Cascade Friends of the Library Facebook page.
